Spirit Week

This week Gloria Dei held its Spring Spirit Week which also corresponded with the Scholastic Book Fair. Each day students were invited to dress in a different theme. Monday was Rainbow Day. Each class or grade level was assigned a different color of the rainbow. Alexis' class dressed in Blue, while Zack's class in Yellow.

Tuesday was 50's day. Here are the kids straight out of the 50's. Alexis has her poodle skirt. (Which some of you may remember from the EOY program in 2007. Yeap, when she was TWO. A little modification of the waist and it still fit) Zack has on his blue jeans with his white t-shirt. It wasnt until I got half way to the bus that I remembered he has a black leather jacket hanging in the closet. Oh well, maybe next year.

In celebration of Earth Day on Wednesday the students were encouraged to dress as a farmer, gardner or recycler. Nic had a great idea to tape any that is recyclable to their clothes. Alexis would have been all for it, but I think it may have been a little over the top for Zack. So, I put them in green t-shirts, kahkis, and straw hats.

Thursday was School Color day. The kids wore red t-shirts and black pants.

Friday was the most exciting day of all. (at least in Zacks opinion) The students were asked to dress as their favorite storybook character. Can you guess what they dressed as???

Alexis looked stunning in her pretty Cinderella dress.



And Zack was all business in his Anakin Jedi costume. (thats Star Wars for those that dont know)
