Birthday Blessing

Today Zack received his Birthday Blessing from Pastor Bugg at Gloria Dei. The blessing is a time that children are recognized and prayed for during the weekly Chapel.

This is Zack walking into Chapel with his Birthday crown on. I thought that was so cute!!

Zack and two other kids were recognized today. The funny thing, the other little boy was named Zachary too. The kids are called up and asked to kneel at the alter.

Then one by one, the Pastor talks to each one of them. It is a private conversation between the Pastor and each child.

After all of the kids have received their blessing they are all taken up onto the stage. Then the whole congregation sings Happy Birthday to them. I had to motion to Zack to smile. He looked a little uncomfortable up there.

After Chapel Zack's class went to library and I sat through Alexis' Chapel service to watch how she acted during it. She had no idea I was there watching her. And this week, she behaved!!

Around 10:15 I joined Zack back in his classroom for his Birthday snack. I made cupcakes for the class.

This is Zack with his teacher Mrs. Gibson. She is a very sweet lady and really great with the kids.

Zack and the two friends he talks about the most-Kyler is on his left and Jacob is on his right. Both boys were very nice and well behaved. Two good kids for Zack to hang around with:) The cupcakes were a huge hit with all of the kids.

Another picture in front of the tree. It just kills me how he wont smile for pictures. He has the cutest dimple, but you have to catch him by surprise in order to see it.
