HollyDazzle

So Friday night Wink and I went to City Center here in Newport News for their annual HollyDazzle. It is basically a kick off to the holiday season that ends in an AWESOME fireworks display and the lighting of the Christmas tree. If you live in the area and can stand the cold, I strongly encourage you to check this out next year. This is the third year that Wink and I have gone, and the second for the kids. All three years it has been extremely cold, but well worth it. This puts any 4th of July show in the area to shame. Wink and I are already talking about doing it the "smart" way next year. There is a Marriott that is on one side of the lake that has rooms facing the lake and the show. It sure would be nice to be in a nice warm room instead of freezing.

Here is Zack, Cole and Alexis waiting for the fireworks to start. As you can see we were right up against the fence so it was a perfect view of the show. The kids did great. There was even a spot right in front of us where some of the fireworks were shot.

So my camera really does not do the fireworks justice, but this was during the finale. Imagine fireworks going off from all directions along with spotlights; all the to beat of Christmas music.

After the fireworks they light a huge Christmas tree that stays lit until after the New Year. This is Alexis and Cole posing with the tree behind them.

This is another shot of the tree as it fades between different colors. I think Alexis summed up the night the best when she said, "This is the best Christmas ever!!" If she thought that was great, wait til she sees what Santa has instore for them:)
