Easter 2010 - Diggers Dungeon

One night I was looking on Grave Diggers website trying to find out when the store opened for the season and I noticed that they were going to have an Easter Egg Hunt and Power Wheels Race this weekend. So we decided we would check it out. There was two egg hunts and no where near enough eggs for all of the kids. I don't think I have ever seen so many kids!!! It was crazy. The kids only ended up with between 5-8 eggs each:( But they did have fun.

Here is Dennis Anderson starting the hunt.

The hunt is on.

In about 3 minutes all of the eggs were gone!!!

After the Easter Egg Hunt they wanted everyone to get ready for the Power Wheels race. It turned out A LOT bigger than what they expected. They planned on about 40 kids and ended up with over 60!!!! The kids were broken up into to age groups - 5 and younger, and 6 and above. They had hoped to do bracket racing for each age group but there was just to many kids. Our age group lined the outside of the track and two by two in a drag racing style raced down the center of the track.

Alexis is patiently waiting her turn.

The boys talking strategy!!

Dennis Anderson waving the flag to get the races started.

Alexis was first in the line. Here she is waiting for the go signal.

And she is off!!! Her competition is behind her. She crossed the finish line first and won her race. Yeah!!

Zack's turn. And he's off!!

Zack won his race too:). Everyone was surprised at how fast Lightning could go. Ka-Chow!!!

The kids after the race showing off their trophies with the Easter Bunny.

Wink backing the trailor out of the farthest corner of the lot. It's pretty funny that we had to haul the kids Power Wheels on a trailor to the race. That is traveling redneck style:)

Look at how little they look compared to the truck.

And after a little shopping in the gift shop we packed everything up and headed back home. All in all it was a fun day. The kids had a blast hunting for eggs and showing off their racing skills. I cant wait til next years race. And if I know Wink in a couple of months he will start plotting out how to make the kids cars go even faster next year:) Not that we "modify" our Power Wheels!!
