New Toys

The last couple of weeks have been busy with getting things ready for the summer and buying a new toy for the kids. First of all, our pool finally arrived at our local Walmart and we picked it up a couple of weeks ago. We were waiting for all of the pollen to fall from the trees before actually setting it up and now that it has, it will not stop raining. Secondly, about three weeks ago I received a text from Wink while I was at work that their was something on Craigslist for sale that I needed to check out for the kids. So I did and by 8:00 pm that night we were the new owners of a...for the kids.

Just kidding. We bought a 50cc gas powered 4 wheeler for the kids. And after a brief meltdown for the simple fact that there was only one, the kids were eager to check it out. They had to wait several days before we were able to find full face helmets for them and then they were finally able to ride. Zack went first. He was very cautious and slow while he figured things out. Alexis went slow for about one lap around the back yard, then she was wide open. And before anyone freaks out about a 3 and 4 year old riding on a 4 wheeler let me tell you about the best part. There is actually a remote control switch gives Wink or I the ability to kill it completely if they start to go out of control. And trust me, it does work:)

It didnt take Zack long to figure it out and he definitely does not like to have to share with Alexis. One night they were outside and he decided that he didnt want to ride it anymore, but he was also not going to let Alexis ride either. So he drove it into our garage and parked it sideways knowing that Alexis would not be able to get it out of the garage by herself. Thankfully she doesnt put up to much of a fight and is still satisfied with her Mustang. Here are a few pics from their first night riding it.
